What makes a recipe post stand out to you?
A recipe post really stands out to me when it feels easy, aesthetic, and personality-driven all at once. I love when the visuals immediately grab me, like close-up shots of ingredients, satisfying ASMR moments, or a clean before-and-after transformation. Clear, simple steps are huge; if I can understand the recipe in under 10 seconds, I’m interested. But what really hooks me is personality: a funny voiceover, a relatable comment, a quick story about why the recipe matters, or even a small moment of chaos in the kitchen. I’m also drawn to posts that offer useful twists, like time-saving hacks, budget-friendly swaps, or versions tailored to student life. Overall, a recipe stands out when it feels delicious, doable, and authentic, like something I’d genuinely want to try the moment I finish watching.

How would you create engaging cooking content for social media?
To create engaging cooking content for social media, I’d focus on making the food feel fun, aesthetic, and approachable. I love videos that feel like you’re cooking with a friend, so I’d use quick cuts, close-up shots, and satisfying ASMR moments like chopping, sizzling, and mixing. I’d also lean into trends, like “5-minute dorm-friendly meals,” “recipes dancers actually have time to make,” or “what I cook before dance rehearsal.” People love personality, so adding mini reactions, taste tests, or funny mistakes would make the content feel more real and relatable. Clear step-by-step visuals, easy ingredients, and a cozy aesthetic help viewers feel confident that they can recreate the recipe themselves. The goal is to keep it short, visually satisfying, and infused with personality so it grabs attention in the first few seconds and keeps people watching until the final bite.
Groovy Coffee
Content & Campus Marketing Intern

Tell us about a creator, club, or brand on your campus you think Groovy should partner with. How would you activate that partnership?
Groovy should definitely partner with both USF Athletics and the USF Dance Program because they each bring huge visibility and incredibly engaged communities. Athletes and dancers practically run on caffeine, so the brand would fit naturally into their daily routines. To activate a partnership with Athletics, I would set up “Groovy Fuel Stations” at morning practices, games, and lift sessions, along with quick interview-style clips asking athletes about their pre-practice coffee routines. This would create authentic content and show Groovy as part of the grind. For the Dance Program, I would coordinate a “Groovy Warm-Up Day” where dancers grab samples before class and record short, fun warm-up videos with their drinks. We could also film a special choreography video featuring dancers performing a piece inspired by the idea of waking up or boosting energy, which Groovy could post across platforms. Highlighting both groups would bring together two of the most spirited communities on campus and showcase Groovy as the go-to drink for students who push their bodies and schedules to the limit.
