Some strategies I would use to increase engagement on the account are using trending sound and hashtags, engaging in trending conversations, engaging directly with the audience, collaborating with others influencers, creating trends, and posting relatable content.

How would you handle negative comments on the TikTok account?
I would handle negative comments by first removing the comment and blocking the user to maintain a positive environment for the TikTok account and its audience. It keep the comments positive I would place a filter on certain words and phrases to prevent negative comments.
