This role includes reaching out to local restaurants and student leaders. How would you handle that outreach each week?
I’d handle outreach in a structured, consistent weekly cadence so momentum doesn’t stall. Each week, I’d set clear targets for the number of restaurants and student leaders I plan to contact and follow up with. I’d prioritize short, personalized outreach, introducing GoodBite clearly, explaining the value in one or two sentences, and asking for a quick next step (a short call, in-person chat, or intro). I’d keep track of conversations, follow-ups, and outcomes so no leads fall through. I’d also balance digital outreach (email, Instagram DMs, group chats) with in-person touchpoints when possible, since face-to-face conversations tend to move faster on campus. Each week, I’d review what messaging worked best and adjust my approach to improve response rates over time.

How would you promote a cause on your campus and get students to pay attention?
To promote a cause on campus, I’d focus on meeting students where they already are and tying the cause to something they already care about. Most students won’t engage just because something is “important,” so the message has to be simple, visible, and personally relevant.
I’d start by partnering with existing student organizations (Greek life, cultural orgs, service clubs) and giving them a clear reason to participate, whether that’s fundraising goals, philanthropy points, or social visibility. I’d use short, attention-grabbing messaging (tabling, group chats, Instagram stories, and word-of-mouth) rather than long explanations. I’d also create moments that make participation feel easy and communal, like themed events, challenges, or limited-time initiatives that connect the cause to everyday student behavior. When students see their friends involved and the impact is clear and tangible, attention and participation follow naturally.

Are you involved in any campus organizations and if so, what charity do you support?
I'm involved in student organizations for community, professional development, and service as well as those focused on STEM or careers related to my studies. In my time in these spaces, my biggest passion has been supporting food access and educational equity initiatives for students and surrounding communities.
I love charities where, as a donor, I can see a direct local impact. GoodBite takes my daily food orders and turns them into real donations.
