I think an overlay of fast scrolling would grab the attention of readers to see how much time is elapsing between all the social media doom scrolling and showing the difference that having a limit can have

i will experiments with different content styles that i have learned during the years of doing social media and make it more to grab the attention of watchers and reroute them to want to have screen time as someone who has battles with this before
