Please talk about something you've done that demonstrates attention to detail.

I have setup and currently run a small shoe reselling business alongside my studies (Biomedical science undergraduate Business and management Masters) During which I buy used shoes, restore them and then resell them on marketplace applications. By having a keen eye for detail you can maximise profit by restoring them with a detailed eye. The same goes with photographing the shoes for the new listings with details directly impacting the potential sale of the item. Alongside this I have created and maintain a spreadsheet of all shoes bought and sold including a running total profit, profit for the year and profit for individual shoes from this I can calculate average shipping costs, number of shoes sold and average profit per shoe. I have also set up and ran a 5 a side team of which I was in charge of the accounts where I was responsible for having a running total of money owed by the players, pay for matches and ensure prompt payments off the players. Without a high level of detail individuals may end up being over/undercharged which would hurt the club and would prevent the ability to pay for games.

What are important considerations for you when reviewing a product?

Some of the main considerations: Usability/User interface Fit for purpose Alternatives Cost In order to use a product it has to have a clear and defined purpose, it should then be suitable for that purpose and accomplish what the ups pose has set out. The user interface must be intuitive, easy to use and visually appealing. The product does not have to be better than the alternatives necessarily but if the purpose aligns exactly it must be as good otherwise I personally would not switch over. Cost is also an important aspect does it cost more than alternatives is it justified? I have experience looking into product reviews and marketing during my Business and Management masters course and will be able to create a detailed and meaningful product review including details of any bugs, improvements or UI issues present and specific feedback on positives and comparison to alternatives.
