Can you share a time when your communication skills have helped you successfully engage with a community?
I've worked in a variety of industries, and all of them involved strong soft skills. At one time, I worked supporting people with their phone accounts, and I often handled escalated and confused customers.
There is nothing more rewarding than empathizing with someone, reflecting their experience, and then asking more questions. People immediately felt as though they could trust me, and more often than not they ended the call thanking me and assured that they were taken care of.
My strategy for connection will always be to ask questions, engage with curiosity, and to be appropriately genuine.

How would you approach promoting language learning opportunities to a diverse audience?
Language learning should be fun, connective, and accessible! We primarily learn language by our social interactions, and when you're young, being wrong about something doesn't feel as big as it does as an adult.
That's why it's important to show that learning is all about being genuine, vulnerable, and a little big whimsical. Associating language learning with laughter, intrigue, and curiosity will keep people coming back again and again.
