It has been a wild one. From dying my hair a lot to having very dry damaged hair. I have learned to take care of my hair properly so it can beautifully thrive. It was a lot of trial and error and learning what worked best for my hair type. That's why I truly appreciate brands that care about embracing ones own texture and all hair types. My hair gives me confidence when it's taken care of and I am always happy to share with others what has worked with me (building community around self-care).

If I am being honest, I have not promoted a product. But I have done marketing for a comedy club and wanted to get out of my comfort zone and work with brands/products. I created posters and posted it on my social media to expand their customer base, by also being able to paint a story about the comedian performing. I have also worked in the service industry and have learned how to communicate well with a variety of people. Plus the skills I have gained from projects in courses is transferable to this space.

I would strike a conversation with them as to what they were hoping to get out of this product. Mention how this product can align with their lifestyle, but also have the ability to tell a story how the product worked for me.
