If you were faced with low engagement at an event, how would you turn things around to make it successful?

If I were faced with low engagement at a smoothie brand event, I would take several strategic steps to turn things around and ensure success:

1. Hosting live demonstrations of smoothie preparation can captivate the audience. This way, I could showcase unique recipes and health benefits that draw people in and keep their attention.

2. Increasing the number of sampling stations with various flavors would entice attendees to try different smoothies. Offering small samples can lead to enthusiastic feedback and discussions about their favorites.

3. I encourage attendees to share their experiences on social media by creating a specific event hashtag. Offering prizes for the best posts can help generate buzz during and after the event.

4. Collaborating with local fitness influencers, nutrition professors, or nutritionists to speak or offer tips can attract their followers to the event, expanding the audience and adding legitimacy to the brand.

5. Providing exclusive discounts or loyalty cards for on-the-spot purchases can motivate attendees to engage more with the brand and make immediate decisions.

6. Setting up a station where attendees can leave feedback or suggestions about their smoothie preferences can help them feel valued and involved in the brand's development.

Implementing these strategies could enhance the event's overall atmosphere, increase interaction, and successfully promote the smoothie brand.

How would you creatively promote JOVA on your campus? Share an idea for a sampling event or social campaign.

I am fond of JOVA because a registered dietitian developed it. As a graduate student with a bachelor’s in nutritional sciences and dietetics, I would love to promote this product within the College of Health and Human Sciences, as many nutrition students are there. Additionally, I could offer free samples to encourage JOVA at the Student Dietetic Association meetings.

As a creative way to promote JOVA on campus, I would organize a “Taste and Learn” event. This event could occur in a popular common area, where students can sample JOVA products while learning about their nutritional benefits. We could set up informational booths, host short presentations, and engage attendees with interactive activities related to nutrition and health. This approach would introduce students to JOVA and encourage discussions around healthy eating practices within our community.

How comfortable are you with approaching people to promote a product? Can you share an example of when you successfully convinced someone to try or buy something?

I am very comfortable approaching others, even when promoting a product. I have successfully convinced people that certain products are worth purchasing. As a group fitness instructor, I have workout bands that I bought externally. I have promoted them because they are great for at-home workouts and come in super cute colors, perfect for those interested in group fitness. I have also shared my enthusiasm for my daily reusable water bottle, often discussing how much I love it. I also promote certain food brands I enjoy by posting cooking tutorials.
