Towards the end of my freshman year of college, I went to a baseball game with my friend. It was my first game, and it was midday in the lovely Florida sun. I went out in shorts, a baseball tee, and a hat. I did not go out in sunscreen. 2 and a half hours sitting on a metal bench with the sun directly above me. It was cloudy so I didn’t feel too hot and didn’t recognize an issue. I was just enjoying the game. Flash forward to a few hours later when I’m washing the sweat off and my legs could have been a candy cane. The burn faded but the tan lines lasted all summer, always reminding me of my first college baseball game.

From birth I had a stuffed lamb, appropriately named Lambie, that I slept with every night until I was 12. She was a smalll, white and had a pink ribbon tied around her neck. I loved her so much that my parents bought a backup in case I ever lost her. I never did and still have both of my stuffed animals in a closet back home where they can have endless cuddles and tea parties.
