Hi! I'm Lilly, a sophomore at UC Davis studying Global Disease Biology. I'm excited to apply for the Graceful Bible App Content Creator position because it combines my passion for storytelling, content creation, and faith-based community building.
I have hands-on experience creating engaging social media content through my role as Events & Community Coordinator for Davis Rewilding Society, where I design graphics, capture photo/video content, and manage our social media presence. I also work as a Marketing Intern at Assuaged Foundation, where I use HubSpot CRM to create educational content and develop strategic messaging that resonates with target audiences.
I grew up volunteering at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for over five years, where I helped with religious education and community outreach. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for faith-based storytelling and how digital platforms can create meaningful connections around Scripture.
I'm comfortable with the TikTok format and understand how to create authentic, relatable content that engages audiences. I love the idea of using reaction videos and storytelling to make the Bible more accessible and engaging for younger audiences. I'm organized, consistent, and excited about the opportunity to post daily content that promotes the Graceful app's mission.

What motivates you to promote a brand effectively?
I'm motivated when I genuinely believe in a product and its mission. Caliwater's focus on natural, functional hydration with sustainable ingredients really resonates with me as someone studying Global Disease Biology and passionate about health and wellness. I love educating people about products that can actually improve their lives, and seeing that "aha moment" when someone tries something and loves it is incredibly rewarding. I also thrive on the energy of events and connecting with people Building those authentic connections and seeing sales as a result of adding joy to peoples lives gives me a real sense of accomplishment. When I'm excited about what I'm promoting, that enthusiasm is contagious, and it makes the work feel less like a job and more like sharing something I genuinely care about.

How do you engage strangers at events to try a new product?
I approach people with genuine enthusiasm and a friendly, welcoming energy. I like to read body language to see who's receptive and focus on how I can add joy to people's lives rather than create unneeded stress. Through tabling for Student Housing and Dining at UC Davis, I've learned to identify who seems like they would enjoy the product, how to make a great impression that reflects well on the brand, and who's likely to purchase if they enjoy it. I keep my approach conversational, not pushy, and highlight what makes the product unique and relatable. For Caliwater, I'd emphasize the natural hydration, lower sugar than coconut water, and the sustainability aspect. I love sharing samples because once people taste how amazing the product is, they're usually sold! My experience as Events Coordinator at Davis Rewilding Society has also taught me how to create welcoming, inclusive environments where people feel comfortable engaging and I would really utilize that to bring people in to give Caliwater a chance!
