I have no direct experience in internships in beauty. However, I have conducted many passion projects into studying consumer sentiments & mindsets, testing innovative skincare and makeup products, and creating UGC content.

What products do you think are disrupting beauty?

I think clean beauty brands like Glossier, Rhode Beauty, The Ordinary, and etc. really ushered in a minimalist beauty craze among consumers in 2022, and the beauty industry is starting to feel that initial hype wave begin to fizzle out, and the industry is likely to continue seeing influence from Asian beauty products. Last year, the fwee Blurry Pudding Pot had gone viral due to its variety of shades but also its unique formula and market value with its additional keychain form. I think that this product went viral right at the same time Labubu pendant blind boxes where people were buying Labubus as a more attainable way to obtain a sense of "a little treat" in that economic state instead of splurging on a designer purse. Products that appeal to the "little treat" mindset will likely continue to succeed through the rest of the year.
