Share a few of the most impactful traditions as it relates to March Madness on your campus?

As an Australian university student, March Madness isn’t a traditional part of our campus culture, but we embrace the excitement of global sports through student-led events. Clubs and groups often host viewing parties for major sporting events, creating a communal atmosphere with food, games, and friendly competitions that bring students together to celebrate.

What groups, organizations, or communities do you lead or play a significant role in?

I play an active role in marine biology-focused clubs on campus, contributing to events, discussions, and initiatives that raise awareness about ocean conservation and marine ecosystems. Additionally, I’ve supported fellow students by providing detailed university notes when they were unable to do so themselves, emphasizing collaboration and academic success within the community.

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, what would be your best idea for the brand to uniquely engage students?

  1. "Ride to the Hoop" Virtual Challenge: Students play a VR basketball game where they can "drive" an Uber and score hoops for prizes like Uber ride credits or food delivery discounts.

  2. Bracket Busters Leader board: A digital board showcasing a campus-wide March Madness bracket competition, with top performers winning free Uber rides for a month.

  3. Photo Booth & Social Media: A basketball-themed photo booth where students can snap pictures with props like Uber jerseys and basketballs. Posting with a specific hashtag could enter them into a giveaway.

  4. Food Zone: Partner with Uber Eats to provide free snacks or discounts on popular game-day food, fostering brand affinity while enhancing the viewing experience.

This activation not only taps into the excitement of March Madness but also aligns Uber’s brand with fun, convenience, and campus engagement.
