I didn’t know a certain department in my previous retail job and I was asked to do the task. I had no clue what I was doing, but I persevered & learned the ropes which gave me some recognition with my boss!

How would you handle a lack of response or rejection in a sales role?

For lack of response, I would tailor the conversation to open-ended questions to get to know the buyer. As for rejection, we don’t want to be pushy. 2 no’s and a go! That way we can find someone who will be willing to listen & buy!
