<p>I recently graduated from Georgia State University where I studied Film and Media with a minor in Acting/Theatre. I learned how each part of the film industry functions from the preproduction phase (writing and casting) to the production phase (filming, acting and directing, lighting and sound design, costume and set design), to the post-production phase (editing and promotion. It was exciting to learned what it takes to work on a project from start to finish and see an idea go from page to screen. Most valuably, I learned that the film and television industry is a highly collaborative field. I learned how to work alongside others and the true value of cohesive team. What was truly special was learning how I fit into the film and television industry while simultaneously cultivating my own creative projects and collaborating with other creatives. Although I've completed my degree, I plan on continuing to learn about and navigate the film and television industry through my professional career.</p>
