Share a few of the most impactful traditions as it relates to March Madness on your campus?
When the Badgers make the tournament, the energy across campus is electric. Many students pack the Kohl Center for official watch parties, creating a game-day atmosphere even when the team is playing on the road.
Madison’s iconic sports bars—State Street Brats, The Nitty Gritty, Jordan’s Big Ten Pub, and Kollege Klub—are packed with students wearing red and white, chanting “On, Wisconsin!” and celebrating every three-pointer.
If Wisconsin makes a deep run, March Madness starts blending into Mifflin Block Party season, leading to early celebrations with house parties, and backyard TVs broadcasting the game. Madison’s student housing areas—Mifflin, Langdon, and Gorham—turn into mini tailgates, keeping the energy going all tournament long.

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, what would be your best idea for the brand to uniquely engage students?
1. The Uber Fast Break Challenge (Pop-Up Basketball Court)
-Set up a mini basketball court or arcade pop-a-shot station at a high-traffic campus location (Memorial Union, Library Mall, or outside the Kohl Center).
-Students get one free Uber ride credit (or discount) if they make a basket (bonus prizes for trick shots).
-If they miss, they can scan a QR code to enter a raffle for larger prizes (free Uber rides for a month, VIP game tickets, UberEats vouchers, etc.).
2. Uber "Fast Pass" Rides to the Game
-Offer free or discounted Uber rides to and from the Kohl Center on game days.
-Special "Badger Bus" Uber XL promos that let groups of 4-6 ride together at a lower cost.
-A limited-time "Uber Bracket Pass": If Wisconsin advances to the next round, students who used Uber to get to a game get an even bigger discount on their next ride.
