What is one thing media brands can do to better appeal to Gen Z on TikTok?

Creating new challenges/dances/sounds! Gen Z loves interacting with videos/brands by doing their own spiff of what the video showed, whether that is teaching their audience about a rare animal that no one has ever heard of or using the newest, most popular sound to make their own videos.

How can a brand differentiate themselves in the market across their competitors, and what is a brand that does this well today?

A critical part of brand differentiation is allowing consumers to sample products before purchasing. This aspect of brand differentiation is especially important for meat substitute products because in order to grow, Beyond Meat needs to continue to demonstrate to current meat-eaters why they should also eat Beyond Meat. Sampling may occur in store, with free samples like at stores such as Costco, or with pop-ups (like food trucks, stands, partnerships with popular local restaurants) in major cities. One brand that does this well today is Lush, who offers free samples on every product in their store and frequently hosts pop-up events.
