Do you have reliable access to a car and are you able to travel to community locations near local Target stores?
Yes I do

This role involves approaching parents and families to offer samples. How comfortable are you starting conversations with people you don’t know? Tell us about a time you had to do this.
I’m very comfortable starting conversations with people I don’t know, especially in casual environments. One example is when I started a small babysitting business. At the beginning, I didn’t have an established client base, so I had to introduce myself to parents in my community and explain that I was available to babysit. That meant starting conversations with families I hadn’t met before and quickly building trust. I would briefly explain my experience caring for younger kids in my family and my background working with children, and then follow up through referrals. Over time that turned into a steady group of families who regularly asked me to babysit. That experience helped me get comfortable approaching new people, being friendly and clear, and making the interaction feel natural rather than forced.

If your goal was to get 200 families with kids to try oddball near a target store, where would you go and what would your sampling setup look like?
I’d set up slightly away from the entrance in the main walkway from the parking lot, where families are still relaxed and kids can notice things before the shopping rush starts. I’d use a small folding table with clear bowls of the candy, a bright sign at kid eye level that says something simple like “Free Candy Sample,” and keep the setup clean and quick so parents know it’s just one small piece. I’d stand a little lower so I’m talking more at the kids’ level, offer a quick line like “Want to try a new candy?” and hand it to the parent first so they feel comfortable. The goal would be making it feel casual and fun rather than like a hard promotion, because kids asking their parents if they can try it usually converts much better than trying to pitch directly to adults.
