First of all, I wish that I had been aware of Home from College sooner. This an incredible platform to create the career I've wanted. I know that I am not technically a young professional, but I have a bright youthful spirit and I just want to work for the opportunity to shape my professional future.

I worked in management for a local fine jewelry store. There was a lot of competition with branch jewelry stores. We decided to participate in a design/ trunk show to drive additional business. I reached out to local jewelers and to a few designers that we had worked with. I was able to get a jewelry designer and the used their jeweler. Flyers were created with an eye-catching design and we reached out to the community and spread the word. I also connected with local restaurants for food in beverage. This project/event involved a lot of communication, strategizing and making big decisions. We ended up making it a 2-day event instead of one due to traffic.
