Tell us about a time you convinced someone to say yes — whether it was for a job, a collab, a favor, or anything else. How did you approach it?
A time I convinced someone to say yes was when I needed a senior technician to take on an urgent service call outside their usual region. Initially, they were hesitant—it meant adjusting their schedule and traveling further than usual. Instead of insisting, I approached it with understanding and clearly explained how their expertise was uniquely suited for the issue and how their support would directly help a high-priority client avoid costly delays. I also offered to rearrange their schedule for the following week to give them some flexibility back. By showing appreciation, being transparent about the impact, and offering a fair compromise, they agreed. The job got done quickly, and the client was grateful—which strengthened relationships on all sides.
