What do you feel is the most essential element for an educational video for teens to be engaging and effective?

Passion is the most essential and effective element of an engaging video. Genuine passion captures hearts (and attention) faster than any special effects, graphics, or cinematography. The hard skills required to be a filmmaker/video producer can be taught, but passion cannot be learned.

What is your favorite new/ non-traditional social app? Why?

While it is no longer "new," one of my favorite social apps as a filmmaker is Tiktok. They've mastered the art of algorithms in a way that allows for serious video artists, amateur cinematographers, and at-home comedians to coexist on the same platform.
