Tell us about a time you built or managed an online community — what worked, and what didn’t?

A time I helped manage an online community was when I started building a small social media group around music and guitar content. My goal was to share clips, tips, and connect with other players who were learning like me. What worked really well was staying active — replying to every comment, asking questions, and posting short, relatable videos that felt personal instead of polished. People enjoyed seeing progress and real moments, which helped the community grow naturally. What did not work at first was posting too randomly. Without a schedule, engagement dropped because people did not know when to expect new content. After that, I created a posting plan and used small updates or polls to keep people involved. That made the community feel more consistent and interactive. Through that experience, I learned that online communities grow strongest when they feel genuine, consistent, and two-way — not just one person talking to everyone else.

What’s your process for planning and executing a content calendar across multiple platforms?

My process for planning and posting content across different platforms starts with setting clear goals and understanding what each platform does best. For example, TikTok is great for trends and quick engagement, Instagram focuses more on visuals and storytelling, and LinkedIn is best for professional updates and brand credibility. I would start by brainstorming ideas that fit the brand voice and message, then organize them into a monthly content calendar. I like to plan around themes or campaigns, such as creator highlights, tips, or product updates. From there, I would schedule posts using tools like Later or Notion, making sure the content feels consistent but still fits the tone of each platform. Once posts go live, I would review analytics every week to see what performs best and adjust the plan based on engagement, saves, and shares. That way, the content calendar is not just about staying organized but also about improving what works over time.

How would you use social media to attract and retain creators on our platform?

I would use social media to attract and keep creators by focusing on community, recognition, and value. To bring in new creators, I would post short and engaging videos that show real success stories. For example, how Vidovo helps creators grow, get brand deals, and improve their content. I would also use TikTok and Instagram trends but give them a Vidovo twist so they feel fresh and relatable. To keep creators around, I would focus on real connection. That means replying to comments, doing Creator Spotlights, and sharing behind the scenes content that makes them feel seen. I would also send out fun and helpful emails or DMs with updates, tips, or opportunities so they feel like part of a family, not just another platform. Overall, I would make social media feel like a community space, not an advertisement — a place where creators connect, grow, and feel proud to be part of Vidovo.
