My personal Reddit experience involves regular community engagement and browsing across multiple subreddits, which I reference to demonstrate platform fluency instead of public-facing content. For professional experience, I'm happy to share examples or summaries of Reddit work I've done for brands. Thanks!

Do you have experience using Reddit in a personal and/or professional setting? If yes, add details.
Yes, I have extensive experience using Reddit in both personal and professional settings. On a personal level, I regularly browse and engage with a variety of communities, which has given me a strong understanding of Reddit’s culture, tone, and what types of posts feel authentic versus overly promotional.
Professionally, I have worked with Reddit from scratch in my role as a Marketing Intern at TRUCE Software, where I helped expand the company’s social media presence onto the platform. This involved identifying relevant subreddits, experimenting with content formats, and approaching Reddit as a community-driven space instead of a traditional marketing channel, which reinforced the importance of value-first posting and thoughtful engagement.

How would you grow the H\FC community from scratch?
To grow the Home From College community from scratch, I would start by embedding the brand authentically into existing Reddit spaces where Gen Z already talks about work, money, and college life. This means contributing value-first posts in relevant subreddits, sharing real experiences, advice, and resources rather than promotional content, so the brand builds trust organically.
From there, I would establish a consistent posting rhythm on both the brand and founder accounts, focusing on transparent storytelling, career tips, and student wins. Actively responding to comments, encouraging discussion, and collaborating with Reddit content creators would help foster a community that feels supportive, useful, and genuinely built for students starting their careers.
