What is your approach to engaging creators through direct messages?

My approach to DMing creators would be to keep it feeling like a genuine conversation rather than a copy-paste pitch. I'd start by actually engaging with their content first — leaving a real comment, watching their videos — so that when the DM lands it doesn't feel cold. Then I'd open with something specific to them, like calling out a recent post I actually liked, before getting into why I'm reaching out. The message itself would be short and lead with the value — something like letting them know they can make money from what they're already posting — and I'd make it easy for them to say yes by giving them a clear, low-commitment next step. No walls of text, no generic "hey I love your content," just a direct and personal message that feels like it came from someone who actually pays attention.
