I stay updated by following Gen Z creators and brands on Instagram and TikTok, since they’re usually the ones to first pick up on trends. Additionally, I also tend to watch what audios, styles, and new slang words repeat on the For You and Explore pages. I pay close attention to what trends feel and sound the most authentic and engaging by personally testing them.

Influencer and social media marketing are appealing to me because it fosters genuine connection, creativity, and trends. Since Gen Z interacts with brands in an authentic way, I like to create THE material that seems relevant and natural rather than it being overly polished or the intention of it being too obvious. Shaping a brand's presence through images, short form content, and partnerships that feel actually true and community-driven, especially on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, is what most attracted me to this opportunistic gig.

I find influencer marketing particularly noteworthy because, unlike traditional advertising, it is based on personality and narrative. Such positions that allow me to continue being creative and trend aware while making an “up to date” and culturally relevant contribution to a brand's success is what inspired me the most to apply for this!
