Have you ever worked with a beauty brand
Yes, I have worked with several beauty brands. I’ve collaborated with brands including Bubble Skincare, L’Oréal Paris, Kundal, and Nacific, creating short-form user-generated content designed for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. My work has focused on producing authentic, scroll-stopping videos that showcase products through relatable routines, discovery-style storytelling, and clear demonstrations of product benefits. For these collaborations, I created content such as skincare routine videos, product discovery moments, and lifestyle demonstrations that highlight how the products fit naturally into everyday beauty routines. The goal of my content is always to make the product feel approachable and engaging while keeping the video native to the platform’s style. Working with beauty brands has also given me experience communicating product ingredients, benefits, and brand values clearly in short-form video, which is especially important for skincare and wellness products where consumers often want to understand what makes a product different.

What experience do you have creating user-generated video content?
I have experience creating short-form user-generated content for lifestyle, fashion, and travel-focused brands, with a focus on producing videos that feel authentic to platforms like TikTok and Instagram while clearly communicating a product’s value. My work typically includes hook-driven storytelling, product discovery videos, lifestyle demonstrations, and relatable problem-to-solution content designed to stop the scroll and keep viewers engaged. My approach to UGC focuses on creating content that feels natural and native to the platform, often filmed from a first-person or “shopper discovery” perspective so viewers feel like they are experiencing the product in real time. This style tends to perform well because it mirrors how people actually explore products online and in-store. I’m also comfortable creating multiple variations of a concept, such as different hooks, angles, or storytelling approaches, which helps brands test what resonates most with their audience across social platforms. In addition to filming and editing vertical videos, I regularly produce supporting content assets like product photos and visual storytelling clips, and I ensure all content is formatted and delivered in a way that brands can easily repurpose for organic posts or paid social campaigns.

How would you engage customers authentically in a retail environment?
In a retail setting, I would focus on creating natural “shopper discovery” style content that reflects how someone would genuinely find and explore a product in-store. Rather than staging anything, I would film from the perspective of a curious shopper, showing moments like spotting the product on the shelf, picking it up, reading the label, and highlighting what makes it interesting or different. For example, I might film a “natural beauty aisle discovery” style video where I walk viewers through what caught my attention about Canadian Grace, such as the oil-only formulation, clean ingredients, or the fact that it’s a proudly Canadian brand. This approach helps viewers feel like they’re experiencing the discovery with me, which tends to make the content feel more relatable and trustworthy. I would also use short-form storytelling and strong hooks to capture attention, such as: “POV: You’re trying to switch to clean skincare and find this in the natural beauty aisle.” This type of content allows customers to engage with the brand organically through relatable shopping moments, while also helping viewers easily locate the product when they visit the store themselves.
