Can you describe a successful social media campaign you led and its impact on engagement metrics?
One successful campaign I led was during my time in the COOP Careers Fellowship, where I collaborated with a team to launch a digital campaign promoting author Maira Hernandez and her book Aventura, Amor y Tacos. I helped develop the social media strategy and wrote tailored copy that spoke to different stages of the buyer's journey, highlighting themes of cultural empowerment and identity. We launched targeted posts across platforms and ran paid Google Ads to drive traffic. Within the first five days, the campaign reached over 10,000 impressions. Engagement rates increased significantly compared to previous benchmarks, and we saw improved click-through rates and audience interaction, especially with culturally resonant content. The project showed me the power of combining thoughtful storytelling, audience insight, and data to drive meaningful engagement.

How do you approach creating social media content that resonates with a diverse audience?
I approach creating social media content for a diverse audience by first making sure I deeply understand who I’m speaking to, this means doing research, listening to different perspectives, and identifying what matters most to each audience segment. I focus on storytelling that is inclusive, relatable, and authentic, while being mindful of tone, language, and cultural context. I also make it a point to feature a variety of voices, visuals, and experiences in the content, and I consistently test and gather feedback to learn what resonates and make informed improvements over time. My goal is always to create content that not only engages but reflects the values and identities of the communities I'm reaching.
