How do you stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends?

I stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends by being very active and native to both platforms. I regularly engage with content on both platforms, which allows me to quickly pick up on trending sounds, songs, and formats as they happen. Because I’m consuming content the same way the audience does, I’m able to spot trends early and understand how they evolve.

In addition to organic discovery, I intentionally follow marketing and social-focused accounts like Pretty Little Marketer and Because of Marketing, along with other industry resources, to stay informed on platform updates, best practices, and emerging trends. Combining real-time platform intuition with industry insights helps me stay ahead and think strategically about how trends can be adapted in an on-brand way.

What attracts you to influencer and social media marketing?

What attracts me to influencer and social media marketing is the blend of creativity, culture, and measurable impact. Influencers shape how people discover brands today by doing more than just promoting products; they tell stories, set trends, and make brands feel relatable and aspirational. Social media is also a space where brand personality truly comes to life, especially for a playful, personality-driven brand like Candier.

I’m especially drawn to how influencer marketing feels collaborative and community-driven. The most effective campaigns don’t feel like traditional ads, but rather like genuine recommendations from someone you trust. I also enjoy analyzing what makes content perform well, experimenting with different formats and trends, and turning cultural moments into scroll-stopping content that drives results. Pairing creativity with data and real-time feedback is what makes this space so exciting to me.
