what student housing (on or off campus) would you deliver mailers to first, and why?
I would start by delivering mailers to Olympic and Centennial Halls, two of the most popular dorms on “The Hill” at UCLA. These residence halls house students across multiple grade levels, making them ideal for reaching a diverse and active demographic on campus. Students living here are also highly engaged in residential events, for example, the “Fuel for Finals” giveaway where free products are distributed to support students during exam season. This would be the perfect opportunity to introduce MUJI’s midterm care package giveaway and share products in a setting where students are already excited about campus life and self-care.

How would you create content that reflects MUJI's brand style?
To reflect MUJI’s brand style, I would create content that emphasizes simplicity, calmness, and everyday functionality. MUJI’s identity is rooted in minimalism and purpose-driven design, so I’d focus on clean visuals, natural lighting, and subtle tones that highlight the product’s texture and quality without clutter or heavy editing.
For example, I might film a quiet “day-in-the-life” clip featuring MUJI stationery in my study setup, capturing the tactile sound of writing or the neat organization MUJI products help create. My captions would stay short and intentional, aligning with MUJI’s understated tone while still being relatable to students.
Overall, my goal would be to communicate MUJI’s “no-brand” simplicity by letting the products and their functionality speak for themselves, creating a sense of calm connection that fits seamlessly into student life.
