NeilMed Piercing Aftercare Profile Image

Who is your primary audience, and why do you think they would connect with piercing or aftercare content?

My primary audience would likely be Gen Z and younger millennials interested in self expression, beauty, and alternative style content. I think they’d connect with content on piercing and aftercare because people look for honest reviews and real experiences before getting pierced I know I do. Authentic content about the process, healing, and reactions makes it feel both informative and relatable.

How would you film a ‘come with me to get pierced’ video to make it engaging and authentic for your audience?

I’d film it in a more casual “day in my life” style so it feels authentic rather than overly produced. Since I already have a septum, nose ring, and helix, I’d naturally talk about my experience with piercings and why I’m interested in getting my next piercing, a smiley or conch next. I think that personal connection makes the content more relatable because it feels like I’m bringing the audience along with me rather than just filming the piercing itself. I’d start with a quick intro that shows the planning process and the decision to get the piercing, and maybe even talk through my nerves or excitement. Then I’d include clips of getting ready, driving to the shop, and little candid moments throughout the day to keep it feeling natural and conversational. For the actual appointment, I’d focus on clean close up shots, reactions, and honest commentary about the pain level, process, and aftercare. I’d also add subtle music and quick edits to keep the pacing engaging while still maintaining that chill vlog style atmosphere. At the end, I’d include the final reveal along with my genuine first impressions and healing expectations so the audience feels like they experienced the whole process with me.
