What tools do you prefer for designing marketing assets and why?

I prefer Canva for designing graphics because it’s efficient, user-friendly, and allows me to create clean, visually consistent designs quickly while still maintaining a professional look. It’s especially useful for social media and marketing assets where speed and brand consistency matter. For video content, I prefer CapCut because it’s powerful for short-form editing and makes it easy to create engaging, high-quality videos with effects, transitions, captions, and trending formats. It’s great for producing content that feels native to platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels while still looking polished.

What graphic design work have you done in the past?

I have experience creating graphic design content across both startup and organizational settings. I worked as a Social Media Marketing Intern at an e-commerce startup where I designed graphics for Instagram and other social platforms, ensuring the visuals aligned with brand identity while helping improve engagement and overall reach. In addition to that, I’ve worked as a graphic designer for multiple student clubs and non-profit organizations, where I created promotional posters, event branding materials, and digital assets for social media campaigns. These experiences helped me develop a strong understanding of visual consistency, audience-focused design, and creating graphics that are not only aesthetically appealing but also effective in communicating a message.

Which social media platforms do you find most effective for brand engagement?

For a product like ByteWave, I find TikTok and Instagram Reels to be the most effective platforms for brand engagement because they are built for short-form, highly shareable video content. TikTok is especially powerful for discovery since the algorithm prioritizes reach over follower count, which makes it ideal for launching a new app and getting rapid attention. Instagram Reels is great for reinforcing that reach and building credibility, since users often check Instagram profiles after discovering content elsewhere. For a video editor specifically, YouTube Shorts could also be valuable for longer-term discoverability and tutorial-style content that shows product capability in more detail. Overall, I would prioritize TikTok for virality, Instagram for brand building, and Shorts for sustained visibility.
