I managed a dance showcase from the beginning to the end in the fall of 2023. I was an executive member of a dance team and we decided that we wanted to organize a showcase for our dance team to display the hard work of our members. My team and I communicated with a few venues in our city to find a venue that was in our budget but that could also allow our members to invite their families and friends with some additional space for people who would like to discover our team. I was in charge of managing and monitoring the dance numbers to make sure that they are going smoothly and that they are up to par. I organized monthly evaluations for the teams to get ready. Additionally, I was scheduling and booking studios for the teams to practice. I was the one communicating with the team in general, meaning, making announcements as well as communicating with the dance teachers who were leading the dance numbers. I also helped with finding and reaching out to sponsors for our show and meeting with any external parties that were helpful to our show. During the show, I was also in charge of making sure all the teams were present backstage and ready to go on when it was their turn to step on stage.
