Can you share an experience where you saw significant results from a marketing campaign you led/were a part of?

During my time as a part of the marketing team for CUSBMA (Christ University’s Business Fest), I was involved in planning and executing marketing strategies to increase participation. One of my key contributions was promoting the event through digital channels like social media, email marketing, and influencer collaborations.

Through targeted campaigns and engaging content, we saw a significant increase in participation, with the number of registrants doubling compared to the previous year. This was a result of careful audience segmentation and creating content that resonated with the student community. I also worked on tracking and analyzing performance metrics to optimize the campaigns in real-time. This experience taught me the importance of understanding the audience and continuously adapting strategies to drive results.

How do you approach developing a strategy for marketing communications?

When developing a strategy for marketing communications, I start by understanding the target audience—their needs, preferences, and behaviors. This helps to tailor the messaging and choose the right channels for communication. Next, I focus on defining clear, measurable goals, such as increasing engagement or raising brand awareness.

I ensure that the messaging aligns with the overall brand vision and values, while also addressing the audience's pain points or desires. From there, I choose the most suitable marketing channels, whether digital (social media, email campaigns) or traditional, depending on where the audience is most active.

Given my internship experience, I’ve been focusing on data-driven decisions, using tools like Excel to organize and segment customer data for targeted email marketing outreach. I also ensure to continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of campaigns to refine strategies over time.
