How would you talk about the App to encourage people on your campus to sign up? What would you say?
I’d keep it simple, relatable, and focused on what students actually care about. I’d say something like: “Hey, I recently started using this app and it’s actually pretty useful—it helps you [mention key benefit like earning side income, saving time, or improving productivity]. A lot of students are already using it, and it only takes a minute to sign up. I thought it could be helpful for you too, especially if you’re looking for something extra alongside college.”
If they seem interested, I’d quickly show them how it works on my phone and mention any real benefit like ease of use or quick results. I’d also highlight things students value, like flexibility, simplicity, and no upfront cost. The goal would be to sound genuine and not pushy—more like I’m sharing something useful rather than trying to “sell” it.

How would you most effectively share your unique link?
I would share my unique link by focusing on the platforms where my target audience is most active and combining both direct and organic methods. First, I’d post it on social media platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram with a clear message about the benefit of signing up, making sure to include a strong call-to-action. I’d also share it in relevant groups, communities, or forums where people are already interested in similar opportunities. Along with that, I would use direct messaging to reach out personally to friends, classmates, or potential users, since personalized messages usually get better responses. To increase visibility, I’d create simple, eye-catching content like short videos or stories explaining the offer. Finally, I’d follow up with reminders and track which platforms are bringing the most sign-ups so I can focus more on what works best.

Do you have experience collecting sign ups before? (Either for a club, organization, or another GIG) Tell us about it!
Yes, I have experience collecting sign-ups for a small college event and an online side project. For the college event, I created a simple Google Form and shared it through WhatsApp groups, Instagram stories, and class announcements. I made sure the form was short and clear to avoid drop-offs, and I added a deadline to create urgency. I also followed up with interested people by sending reminder messages a day before the deadline, which helped increase conversions. For the online project, I used a basic landing page with a clear value proposition and a call-to-action, then shared it in relevant communities. In both cases, I learned that clear communication, easy sign-up processes, and timely follow-ups are key to getting more people to register.
