Interview Questions

Hayati

Social Media & Content Marketing Assistant

Hayati Profile Image

what's a brand you admire for their social presence?

I admire Rhode for their social media presence because their branding is sleek yet distinct and recognizable. The influencers and celebrities that Rhode selects for their campaigns always feel perfectly suited to advertise their given product, which contributes to the image of care and intentionality that Rhode portrays as a brand. It is diverse and relaxed in an inviting way. It is aesthetically pleasing without feeling overly curated. Similarly to Hayati’s Instagram, it is full of personality and color without looking forced or overwhelming.

if you were in charge of hayati's socials for one week, what would you do?

If I was in charge of Hayati's socials for one week, I’d produce 6 posts. I’d first create a Beginner’s Guide to Green Za’atar – a carousel post outlining za’atar’s origins, ingredients, and most common uses. Next would be an image of people enjoying Hayati’s Green Za’atar around a dinner table. After that I’d create a reel centered around Yasmine, so that buyers can get to know her and the story behind Hayati. Then, building off of the cheese manakeesh tutorial posted on July 31st, I’d create a recipe video series with the next installment being for naan bread (to be enjoyed with Hayati’s Green Za’atar, of course). I’d follow that up with a post about the The Norwegian Refugee Council, to raise awareness and reassure consumers that their money is contributing to a truly impactful organization. Lastly, I’d put together a post highlighting the family that creates the za’atar blend.

Additionally, I’d make a highlight with all the za’atar recipes that have been posted thus far (manakeesh, za’atar with tabbouleh, cheese manakeesh, etc.) so that consumers have quick and easy access to a list of za’atar’s uses.

What kind of brands or content do you naturally gravitate toward on social?

I like to keep up with a wide array of social media accounts. This includes lifestyle influencers like Monet McMichael, major brands like Cécred, magazines like Elle, and comedians like Quen Blackwell. Having a grasp on how these distinct accounts keep their audiences engaged allows me to have an understanding of what is trending on different corners of the Internet. Most recently I have begun gravitating towards Instagram accounts that educate me on the business of beauty, as they allow me to stay up to date on marketing campaigns and their reception by the public. These include @bof, @voguebusiness, @becauseofmarketing, and @databutmakeitfashion.
