How do you stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends?

I stay updated on the latest trends by keeping up with a wide array of social media accounts across Instagram and TikTok. This includes lifestyle TikTokers like Monet McMichael, brands like Rhode, magazines like Elle, and comedians like Quen Blackwell. For more analytical and business-oriented content I follow Instagram accounts including @bof, @voguebusiness, and @databutmakeitfashion. Having a grasp on how these distinct accounts communicate and keep their audiences engaged provides me with a well-rounded understanding of what is trending in different corners of the internet. This combination of data, business, beauty, news, fashion, and comedy would allow me to help uphold Candier’s on-the-pulse branding on social media in a fresh, fun, and relevant way.

What attracts you to influencer and social media marketing?

What attracts me to influencer and social media marketing the most is the unique opportunity to combine creativity, collaboration, and strategy in order to foster connections with consumers. Social media gives brands a platform to communicate with audiences in an efficient and accessible way. The addition of influencers allows brands to promote products in an authentic manner through voices that reflect the brand's identity. I’d love to help Candier achieve these goals by finding influencers that reflect Candier’s fun, energetic image and producing collaborations that feel genuine and exciting.

Can you describe a brand you think does social media well, and why?

I believe that Rhode does social media well because their Instagram is aesthetically pleasing without feeling overly curated. It is diverse and relaxed in an inviting way. It is full of personality and color without looking forced or overwhelming. The influencers and celebrities that Rhode selects for their campaigns always feel perfectly suited to advertise their given product, which contributes to the image of care and intentionality that Rhode portrays as a brand.
