Hayati

if you were in charge of hayati's socials for one week, what would you do?
I’d first create a Beginner’s Guide to Green Za’atar – a carousel post outlining za’atar’s origins, ingredients, and most common uses. Next would be an image of people enjoying Hayati’s Green Za’atar around a dinner table. After that I’d create a reel centered around Yasmine, so that buyers can get to know her and the story behind Hayati. Then, building off of the cheese manakeesh tutorial posted on July 31st, I’d create a recipe video series with the next installment being for naan bread (to be enjoyed with Hayati’s Green Za’atar, of course). I’d follow that up with a post about the The Norwegian Refugee Council, to raise awareness and reassure consumers that their money is contributing to a truly impactful organization. Lastly, I’d put together a post highlighting the family that creates the za’atar blend.

who are your favorite content creators?
My favorite content creator is Monet McMichael, because she continues to be her fun, hot, bubbly, and fashionable self while navigating being a Black and Latina influencer. Another one of my favorites is Claire Saffitz, a chef and YouTuber who’s published two dessert cookbooks. I love how genuinely she displays her personality as well as how clear and to the point her instructions are. Lastly, @mickycashflow on Tiktok makes me laugh out loud every time she comes up on my FYP. She always has some fresh new bit or relatable tangent that makes me giggle.

what's a brand you admire for their social presence?
I admire Rhode for their social media presence because their branding is sleek yet distinct and recognizable. The influencers and celebrities that Rhode selects for their campaigns always feel perfectly suited to advertise their given product, which contributes to the image of care and intentionality that Rhode portrays as a brand. It is diverse and relaxed in an inviting way. It is aesthetically pleasing without feeling overly curated. Similarly to Hayati’s Instagram, it is full of personality and color without looking forced or overwhelming.
