How would you approach gathering insights from participants about their fitness habits and smartwatch usage?

I would first ask them general questions about themselves such as age, sex, and where they are from to get them comfortable speaking with me. I would then ask about their fitness habits using questions like what does your daily fitness look like? What type of exercise do they do? Is it running, lifting weights, pilates, etc.? I would then ask how many times they work out per week and the duration of the workouts. After collecting this information I can ask them if they own a smartwatch and to what degree they interact with it. I would ask what their purpose is for using it such as logging times for running or counting steps or calories. Finally I would ask if they think their smartwatch is helpful to their lifestyles and improves their workouts.

Can you share your experience with wearable technology, specifically smartwatches?

I have owned an Apple Watch for the past six years and I use it daily for multiple purposes. It helps me with keep time, get notifications when my phone may be elsewhere, and accept calls. I also use it to track my fitness goals and times as well as checking my heart rate during my exercise!
