Can you describe a successful content campaign you created for a food-related product or brand?
For Last Bite Zine, the food magazine I independently published, I spearheaded a grassroots campaign to build awareness and distribution. I went door-to-door connecting with local cafes, shops, and markets to get the magazine stocked and in front of new audiences. Simultaneously, I managed an Instagram account dedicated to the magazine’s content, sharing engaging food photos, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and community stories. To amplify reach, I also ran targeted Instagram ads aimed at food enthusiasts in our region. This combination of direct outreach and digital marketing helped increase visibility and ultimately sell out our last issue.

How do you stay updated on the latest food trends and social media content strategies?
Staying current with food trends and content strategies has been a natural extension of my work. While running Last Bite Zine, the independently published food magazine I created, I was constantly researching emerging culinary movements, pop culture tie-ins, and visual storytelling techniques to keep our issues fresh and relevant. I regularly follow chefs, mixologists, and creators across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Substack, and I pay close attention to what's resonating in real time. On the strategy side, I study what's performing well—hook structure, trending sounds, audience engagement tactics—and apply those takeaways to my own content. I also subscribe to industry newsletters and keep tabs on shifts in platform algorithms and creator tools. For me, staying informed is both a professional priority and a passion.
