Walk us through how you'd build a content calendar from scratch
To create a content calendar, I would start by identifying the brand’s main goals, such as increasing engagement, promoting new products, or building community with the audience. Then I would plan content around key themes like product highlights, user-generated content, trends, and behind-the-scenes moments to keep the feed balanced and interesting. I would map these posts onto a monthly calendar, scheduling them around important dates, product launches, or campaigns while leaving room for trending content that can be added in real time. I would also track performance metrics like views, engagement, and shares to see which types of posts perform best, and use that data to adjust future content. This approach ensures the content stays organized, consistent, and aligned with the brand’s social media strategy.

Show us a brand you think is killing it on social and tell us why
The TikTok account for the brand Poppi performs well by creating colorful, lifestyle-focused content that feels native to TikTok rather than traditional advertising. Their videos often use trending sounds, quick edits, and influencer or user-generated content, which helps the brand feel relatable to Gen Z audiences. Poppi also consistently highlights everyday moments like studying, hanging out with friends, or getting ready, making the product feel part of a lifestyle rather than just a drink. What stands out to me the absolute most is how they highlight their workers and people behind their brand! I think that social media marketing is shifting more towards human connection and relatability which makes this tactic a huge hit.
