When I worked as a shift lead at a smoothie shop, attention to detail was vital in many ways. For example, we always had 50+ different food products in our kitchen that needed to be inventoried, organized, and dated. As a shift lead, it was my responsibility to check the expiration of each product, organize them in our freezers from newest to oldest, label each one with a date and product name, and transfer all of this information to a whiteboard for my team to read. I had to do this every morning at our 7am opening to ensure that we were serving the best, freshest food we had.
