The ice cream shop I worked at a summer ago was looking for news ways to spread word about our store and gain more customers within our neighborhood. I came up with an idea to position two servers at the local beach to promote the store, and handed out our full menu to beach-goers on the hottest days of the summer. The beach-goers could check the box of the ice-cream flavor they desired and since our store was only a 3 minute walk from the beach, we would retrieve their ice-cream and deliver it to them on the beach. It was a huge success and we increased our profits since the beach customers paid only a few dollars more for delivery.
