What is your favorite marketing campaign you've seen?
One of my favorite marketing campaigns has been the Playstation 2 ads from the '90s/2000s. In 1996, Playstation produced a flyer for the Glastonbury music festival to promote their gaming console. The ad featured both the PlayStation logo and the words "More Powerful than God." This marked the beginning of the controversial subversive ads Playstation would later be known for. Director David Lynch would go on to their film adverts and supermodels Devon Aoki and Naomi Campbell would too become the faces of the popular gaming consoles. Pop culture references, moody atmospheric sets, and contentious slogans created iconic promotional materials.
