As a psychology student who wants to become a therapist, this is something that I have learned. It's important to put yourself in other people's positions and deeply understand how to control and change your emotions when necessary. I would handle a conversation in the same way I would handle any other conversation, while just remembering the specific emotion and mindset I need to be in.
