What excites you about this internship at Robyn AI?

What excites me most about this internship is the chance to combine emotional insight with data storytelling. As someone who journals, cycle-syncs, and reflects daily, Robyn’s mission feels deeply personal. But I’m also a data science student who’s built tools like a Taylor Swift song recommender, run regressions on Friends episodes, and designed ESG dashboards. I’m excited to apply that same creativity and curiosity to help shape a product that genuinely understands how my generation feels.

Do you have any experience with tools like SQL, Python, Excel, or analytics platforms (e.g., PostHog, Mixpanel)?

I have experience with SQL, Python, and Excel. I've taught myself SQL through Kaggle and worked on their mini-projects using real datasets. I've worked extensively with Python- everything from class assignments to projects, I've primarily used data analysis/visualization libraries like Pandas, Numpy, and Matplotlib/Plotly. I've also started to teach myself Excel and do basic functions on practice datasets.

What are 2 consumer apps you love and why do you think they’ve gone viral or built strong user habits?

  1. Stardust- a period tracker app. I love this app because it 1) Projects my different cycle phases so that I can plan events/routines ahead of time, 2) Allows me see where my fellow female friends are in their cycles, helping me be a better friend, and 3) They genuinely educate me on the different hormones and their levels in different stages of my cycle, providing reasons as to why I may be feeling certain ways. I think that Stardust is a good app because of it's friendly, smooth UI and the way they concisely explain why a person might be feeling the way they are.

  2. TikTok- when consumed properly, tiktok is a great way to educate/enhance oneself and I love the bite-sized, digestible content. The brevity of tiktok videos/content is why it's extremely popular, in my opinion.
