if you were in charge of hayati's socials for one week, what would you do?
f I were in charge of Hayati’s socials for a week, I’d focus on creating content that celebrates both the flavor and the feeling of za’atar, not just what it is, but what it means to people. I’d run a week-long theme called ‘Za’atar Is...’ where each day explores a different angle:
Day 1: ‘Za’atar Is History’ – a short reel or carousel post sharing where za’atar comes from and why it matters in Arab culture.
Day 2: ‘Za’atar Is Home’ – reposting or inviting Arab-Americans to share how they eat za’atar in their families (user-generated content, voiceovers, or stories).
Day 3: ‘Za’atar Is Versatile’ – fun, fast recipe reels showing creative ways to use za’atar beyond the classic manakeesh.
Day 4: ‘Za’atar Is Connection’ – maybe an IG Live or TikTok talking to someone from the Arab diaspora about food and identity.
Day 5: ‘Za’atar Is the Future’ – featuring the Hayati brand vision and inviting followers to be part of it (maybe a giveaway or community question to boost engagement).
Overall, I’d keep the tone warm, proud, and slightly playful, like a friend who’s hyping up your culture and inviting others in. I’d also make sure to engage actively with comments and repost community content to build that trust and familiarity.

who are your favorite content creators?
Some of my favorite content creators are Black and African creatives like @the_oddity and Aba Asante. I love how they bring humor, culture, and personality into everything they post. They don’t just follow trends; they build a real connection with their audience. I also really admire creators from the Arab world who center food and identity, like @eatingwithz or @mimdesigns. They show how powerful content can be in preserving culture and sparking pride. That kind of storytelling really inspires me, and it’s exactly the kind of energy I’d bring to a brand like Hayati

what's a brand you admire for their social presence?
One beauty brand I really admire for its social presence is Fenty Beauty. They’ve done an incredible job of using social media to promote inclusivity, diversity, and self-expression, values that really resonate with today’s audience. Their content feels fresh and authentic, from product tutorials and user-generated content to behind-the-scenes looks at product launches. I also think they do a great job of listening to their community and responding in real-time, which helps build trust and engagement. It's clear they understand that social media is more than just marketing; it's about connection.
