Can you share an example of a recent UGC video you created for a beauty or retail brand, and what made it feel natural instead of overly scripted?

While most of my work has been on the production side — shooting and supporting commercial campaigns for brands like Visionworks (eyewear/retail) and Chime — I've applied that same eye to creating shorter, more casual content for social. What makes it feel natural rather than scripted is keeping the framing loose and handheld, letting reactions happen in real time instead of over-rehearsing lines, and filming in spaces that feel lived-in (a bathroom counter, natural window light) rather than a studio setup. I focus on one authentic moment per clip rather than trying to hit every talking point, which makes the final edit feel more like a friend's recommendation than an ad.

For a quick-turnaround project like this, how would you approach creating two distinct videos while keeping them aligned with the brand and your own content style?

I'd start by getting clear on Lanolips' core message and aesthetic — their playful, lip-care-focused branding — and then think about two different angles that fit naturally within that without feeling repetitive. For example, one video could be a quick "get ready with me" or daily routine moment featuring the product, while the second could be a more direct before/after or "why I switched to this" testimonial-style video. Both would stay true to my own casual, authentic style — natural lighting, handheld feel, real reactions — while hitting different hooks so they don't feel like duplicates. I'd also batch-film both in the same session to keep the turnaround quick without sacrificing quality, then edit them with distinct pacing/captions so each feels like its own piece of content.
