One example was when I created a promotional video for a collaboration between KPOT and my fraternity, Pi Delta Psi.
After posting the content, I paid attention to engagement and feedback—what people commented on, what caught their attention, and what parts of the video performed best. Based on that, I gave feedback on what worked well (like showing more of the food and atmosphere) and what could be improved (such as making the hook stronger and getting to the main point faster).
I also suggested focusing more on quick, eye-catching clips and clearer calls to action to increase turnout and engagement.
This experience helped me understand how to evaluate content from a viewer’s perspective and provide feedback that improves both performance and audience response.

I stay updated with TikTok trends by actively being on the app every day and paying attention to what’s performing well.
I regularly scroll my For You Page to spot trending sounds, formats, and hooks early. I also look at how creators structure their videos—especially what grabs attention in the first few seconds and what keeps engagement high.
When I notice a trend, I think about how it can be adapted to fit a specific brand or message so it still feels natural and not forced.
Since I’m consistently on the app, I’m able to catch trends early and quickly turn them into content ideas that align with current user behavior.
