Interview Questions
Thetawave
TikTok Brand Ambassador

How would you drive audience engagement on TikTok for a tech-focused brand like Thetawave?
To drive audience engagement on TikTok for a tech-focused brand like Thetawave, I’d lean into trend-driven content formats that humanize tech—think skits, POVs, and storytelling that simplify complex topics like AI, VR, or cybersecurity in a fun, digestible way. I'd feature behind-the-scenes looks, day-in-the-life reels of devs or designers, and use creators who can act as relatable tech evangelists. Leveraging sounds, humor, and transitions keeps content native to the platform while inviting interaction through polls, duets, or “explain this tech to me like I’m five” challenges. Most importantly, I’d build community by replying to comments, highlighting user feedback, and co-creating content with niche tech influencers already thriving on #TechTok.

what would be 2 questions you ask to start conversation?
Two questions I’d use to start a conversation are: “Be honest… what’s the most unserious thing you’ve done this week?” and “If I gave you the aux right now, what’s the first song you’re playing to prove a point?” Both questions are playful, disarming, and immediately open the door for personality to shine. They set the tone for unfiltered, funny, and authentic responses—which not only make great content but also spark natural, engaging interactions that reflect the vibe I bring to my work and my audience.

share an example of a time you turned a casual conversation into compelling content?
One of my favorite moments was during a casual late-night hangout at Seaside. I was holding my DJ controller, just talking with friends, and someone joked, ‘This is the most unemployed thing I’ve ever seen.’ That throwaway comment sparked an idea—I stepped out, held the controller with no music playing, and filmed a deadpan video with the captions: ‘abusing my free will at Seaside’ and ‘I’d like to see how ChatGPT can replicate this.’ The clip had no context, no audio—just absurd energy. But that’s what made it hit. It turned a nothing moment into a piece of content that Gen Z ate up because it was so unexplainably confident. That moment taught me how intentional framing can turn even the most casual chaos into something compelling and viral-worthy.
