How does your audience engage with your fitness/running content, and what type of videos perform best for you?

My audience tends to be highly engaged when the content feels real and relatable — not polished to the point of being unreachable. Runners and fitness enthusiasts respond best when they see themselves in the content: the early morning struggle, the mid-race doubt, the satisfaction of hitting a new personal best. In terms of engagement, I see the most interaction — comments, saves, and shares — on content that either teaches something practical or triggers an emotional response. Those two categories consistently outperform pure highlight reels. The videos that perform best for me fall into three types: 1. "Run With Me" / POV content — First-person running footage with voiceover or on-screen text about pace, mindset, or training tips. These perform well because they're immersive and easy to watch repeatedly. 2. Training breakdowns — Short, structured videos explaining a specific workout, its purpose, and what to expect. These get saved constantly because people come back to reference them. 3. Honest progress and struggle content — Videos where I show the hard days, not just the wins. These consistently drive the most comments and DMs because people feel seen. Vulnerability builds community. What I've learned is that consistency of format builds trust, but authenticity drives growth. My audience doesn't just want running tips — they want to feel like they're on the journey with someone real.

Can you walk us through your process for executing a scripted brand video?

Absolutely. My process is built around three core pillars: clarity of message, consistency with the brand, and efficiency in execution. 1. Pre-Production — Understanding the Brand First Before touching a script, I dive deep into the brand's identity: tone of voice, target audience, visual guidelines, and the specific goal of the video — whether it's awareness, conversion, or retention. I also align with the stakeholders on success metrics so there's a shared definition of what "good" looks like. 2. Scripting & Storyboarding I work from a tight brief to develop a script that balances brand messaging with genuine viewer engagement. Every line has a purpose. I pair the script with a storyboard or shot list so the visual narrative supports the message — not just illustrates it. 3. Production On set or in the editing room, I stay close to the script while leaving room for what works in the moment. Flexibility within structure is key. I ensure lighting, pacing, and tone all serve the brand, not just the aesthetic. 4. Post-Production & Feedback Loop I deliver a first cut with clear notes on creative choices, then invite structured feedback. I avoid endless revision cycles by setting clear rounds upfront — usually two rounds of revisions with defined scope. 5. Final Delivery & Optimization I deliver in the formats needed for each platform — because a video that works on YouTube needs to be adapted for Instagram or LinkedIn. I also track performance where possible and feed those insights into future projects. The result is a video that feels on-brand, hits its objective, and is delivered without chaos.
