How would you describe a successful training Process?
In order to achieve a successful training process I believe it's crucial to start with a clear focus on your overall objectives and structure to format the process. In this case we are dealing with new interns, so it is best to describe a clear a set list of their responsibilities as well as resources to succeed in these roles. Next, is the picture you paint for the interns of the company. In their initial "welcome week" or onboarding experience we will want to share our companies mission and how their role on the team will continue to provide growth and success as we want to emphasize that we are a "team" and for teams to succeed we must work together and motivate each other. In order to hold captivating onboarding experiences we will want to tailor them to be more hands on or interactive rather than lecture focused. This could include real demos or assistance as they launch into testing and real everyday scenarios. At this time in the training process the floor will be opened to discussions and a Q&A session to make the interns a. to validate their learning experience and b. show that we are a company who wants to see them succeed. At this point it's not only the interns taking away learning points from training but we will need to gather both metrics and feedback that we can use for future trainings or to even improve current onboarding processes.
