My experience delivering feedback and criticism to senior leaders has been quite well as I have been taught how to frame my points carefully so that the receiver perceives them in a positive manner.

Volunteering at an animal shelter while it was operating at max capacity embedded such skills. Because much of the helping staff was engaged in managing a nearly full shelter of sick, injured animals, there was not much help or guidance from them.
