Built By Girls is an empowering space that helps future female, non-binary, and allied STEM leaders thrive by providing mentorship opportunities, hands-on workshops, and access to industry resources. I love that it gives members the chance to learn from professionals, build real-world skills, and connect with a supportive community that encourages growth and confidence in STEM fields.

I’d make a presentation on BBG engaging by keeping it visual, interactive, and relatable. I’d include fun slides with images or short clips, share personal experiences or tips, and maybe even include a mini challenge or activity to get everyone involved. I’d also encourage questions and discussion throughout so it feels like a conversation, not just a lecture, keeping the energy upbeat and fun for the club.

I’m part of several STEM organizations on campus, including Future IT Professionals, ColorStack, and the National Society for Black Engineers (NSBE). Being involved in these groups helps me connect with fellow students, stay engaged in STEM opportunities, and build community around shared interests.
